About Me

Hi!  I'm Virgelyn, the Founder of HCA Healthcare Advocates, LLC.  I have been in healthcare for over 30 years, from back office nursing to healthcare administration.  I have worked at small private practices, with major medical groups, and at a law firm where I advocated for my cherished patients, as well as world renowned hospitals.

In that time, I have learned that in healthcare, things are always changing, but the one thing that always stays the same is that the billers at doctors offices and hospitals are their employees; the claims representatives and "claims advocates" at the insurance companies are their employees, and my clients are their paychecks.  Their jobs are to fight for their employer, and my job is to fight for my clients utilizing all the knowledge I have,and continue to, acquire.
